Caterpillars Room

As children become confident walkers new opportunities for exploration open up. In our Caterpillar room we provide a safe and interesting environment, with age appropriate resources, to enable children to learn to take risks alongside developing their curiosity, co-ordination and physical skills.

Our routine encompasses the needs of the child and throughout their time in the room, the children will be able to participate in a wide variety of activities such as painting, gluing, block play, singing, role play, sand and water play, tactile and sensory activities. These activities are carefully planned and spontaneously led by the children. 

Lots of time is also spent in our spacious outside areas, ensuring that all the children get plenty of fresh air. Our favourite outside activities are visiting the horses and donkeys and getting messy playing in the sandpit with our lovely boat!
